Annotations
Identify the purpose for annotating a text.
Annotating is highlighting/underlining text while commenting and writing notes in the margins.
CHECKLIST:
- Is there a comment next to each line or paragraph highlighted/underlined?
- Is the comment a reason why you underlined that passage? The comment is not just a retelling of what you underlined.
- Does the comment go into further depth, explaining why and/or how this underlined idea is important?
