Eighth Grade Announcements

Eighth grade students: Permission slips for the end of the year trip to Knott’s Berry Farm are available now in the front office. Tickets for the trip are $40.00. If you have a pass to Knott’s Berry farm, tickets for the trip are $15.00 to cover the bus fare. Spots are available on a first come, first serve basis, so please make sure you turn in your permission slip and payment as soon as possible.

 

Leis: Leis are being sold for eighth grade students to wear at the promotion ceremony at the ASB window. Leis are $23.00, and the leis will be available for pick-up the day of the promotion ceremony. The deadline to purchase a lei is June 6. Make sure you purchase yours now to wear at the promotion ceremony.

Athletic Clearance and Impact Concussion Testing Day

INCOMING NINTH AND ELEVENTH GRADERS
Suggested times:
Incoming ninth - 8 AM-11:30 AM
Incoming eleventh - 11:30 AM-3:00 PM
at Newport Harbor High School Administration Offices

 

Every athlete (including cheer) in every sport must have a completed clearance packet on file to participate in any high school athletic practice or game.  Newport Harbor Athletics will be conducting on-campus physicals with registered medical doctors and nurses from our community for a voluntary contribution of $25.00. All necessary paperwork will be passed out by Ensign P.E. teachers are can be found on-line (see link below). We will be accepting cash or check.  Checks should be payable to NHHS ASB. Please be sure to have all paperwork and required signatures completed.   All proceeds are divided between your student-athletes identified sport and the NHHS Athletic ASB account. Baseline Concussion Testing will be conducted at Ensign beginning June 16 through P.E. classes.  The Medical Release of information page of the packet should be returned to Ensign P.E. teachers with the box checked to participate in Baseline concussion testing.
